July Update

Amateur Radio, Build Blogs, General Updates

Well once again July has been a busy month. We have had a couple of portable operating days with EssexHam to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing using GB5AML special event call sign.

My little store has launched a couple of new products including a CTCSS decoder kit but more excitingly I am now offering a 3D Printing service for people who need parts printed for their project but don’t have a 3D printer themselves. Check out https://HAMtronics.uk/3d-printing for more details.

I have been working on a satellite tracking system for Amateur Radio, and built myself an Arrow 2m/70cm cross polarised antenna, as the real ones are far too expensive for us in the UK to ship from the USA. A build blog about both of these will be posted shortly.

Some more and exciting things are planned for August. I will be doing my Introduction to MicroControllers again this time at Badders club. I have also completed the build of GB3BZ replacement multimode analogue & DMR repeater, which should be going into testing later this month. So whilst GB3DA is off air due to its failure in the heat, why not give GB3BZ a try.

That’s about all for now, but will be posting more soon. 73’s Andrew
